Talking up a ‘Recession’ Storm?

So Ireland is officially in recession after 2 quaters of negative growth, 0.3% in the first quarter and by 0.5% in the second. 0.8% in a six month period and the dreaded word ‘recession’ comes up? Try Zimbabwean type recession if you really want to worry people for God’s sake. I wish people would behave themselves.

It is really worrying when that word comes up, I remember the last time we were in recession, lots of fairly secure companies used it as a means to fire (yes fire) workers under the guise of tough times and the need to protect shareholders’ value. I wonder who keeps talking up the posibility of recession?
