The bushmeat kafaful
The article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7617103.stm raised the question as who exactly wants to ban the hunting and eating of bushmeat? This is just another example of us in the West trying to enforce our ways of life on other people, especially those who can ill affrod to follow our so called advice. We don’t have to live in their environment. If we wish to save wild life, then we need to help people find an alternative, otherwise, worldwide ban or not, people will continue hunting and eating bushmeat.
Apparently though, we are also trying to deter the meat eating of any form as it is less environmentally friendly than eating veggies and fruit. Being a full blown omnivour with a strong weakness for the taste of meat, I will consider it when I do not require any (usally artificially created) supplements to my diet!
BTW is that the way kafaful is spelled. It may be carfaful or cafafull. Oh maybe I should have used ruckus instead?
